Year 2 Trip to Drusillas
On Wednesday the 19th of June, as part of their ‘Around the World’ topic, Year 2 went on their school trip to Drusilla’s Park. We were very lucky with the weather and, after a shower when we first arrived, we managed to stay dry for the rest of the afternoon. The children had time to see all the animals and to read about the wide variety of places around the globe that they originally came from.
They were fascinated by all the different species and the many places that they live. We were then taken to the Discovery Centre where we were fortunate enough to meet some animals up close! The children were very excited to meet and learn about Tango the Corn Snake, a Hissing Cockroach, Sonic the Pygmy Hedgehog and Bella the Bearded Dragon.
With a ride on the train and a play in the play area too, Turtles and Seahorses had a wonderful day and came back full of enthusiasm about the different countries and animals from around the world! Your behaviour was exemplary Year 2 and you were a credit to us at Kings Hill School, well done to you all.
