I joined Kings Hill in September 2003, in that time I have taught from Year 2 to Year 6. I am now currently teaching in Year 5 and enjoying the learning journey.
Prior to joining Kings Hill I taught English at a private school in Turkey for a number of years and before that was a Product Developer for Harrods
I enjoy the challenges that Teaching provides and being part of the children’s learning and progression.

Outside of school I am busy with family life as I have a daughter in Year 2 and twin boys aged 3!

I am currently working in the Upper Phase of the school as a Teaching Assistant in Macaws class with Mrs Genç.
It is now my third year working at Kings Hill School having started as a parent helper, being a Midday Supervisor, and then completing my Teaching Assistant NVQ Level 2.
I have previously worked in Year 1, Year 2 and Year 6 and so have gained considerable experience working with different age groups. Last year I successfully completed a Language for Learning Course as well as qualified as a First Aider.
My career before becoming a mother of two children was working for a High Street Bank for 10 years and then as a Mortgage Consultant based in an Estate Agency.
I have always liked working with people and now thoroughly enjoy the busy day to day life at school working with children and finding it incredibly rewarding.

I have been teaching in years 5 and 6 for over ten years, and I have been at Kings Hill for four years. Most of my experience has been in teaching year 6, but I am really enjoying teaching year 5 at the moment – we certainly have a talented bunch of children at this school!

I am the numeracy co-ordinator for the whole school and I am the upper phase leader. I have three grown up daughters, one is a secondary maths teacher, one is studying for a PhD in biomedical science and one has just completed a degree in psychology at Durham University.

My favourite thing to do is walk my gorgeous little dog, Ruby, support my football team, West Ham United (hopefully we will get better!) and knitting. I hope to start a knitting club soon, so the children at Kings Hill can all give their parents scarves each Christmas.
