Claire Leadbetter - Whole School
--
I left an I.T. based job to become a full time mum in 1993. Finding that iI really enjoyed my own children’s early years development, and wanting to continue to progress with them, I decided on a career change when my youngest daughter started attending school in 1999. I was first employed by Kings Hill School in 2000, as a Year 6 Teaching Assistant and Mid Day Supervisor, having obtained the CLANSA (Certificate for Literacy and Numeracy Support Assistants) qualification.
I have worked throughout the school.
-
Early Years during my vocational studies for my CLANSA qualification
-
Year 2 as a Teaching Assistant, deputising for a colleague
-
Year 3 as a Cover Supervisor( using my music skills to teach Music)
-
Year 5 as a Teaching Assistant from 2001-2003
-
Year 6 2000-2001, 2003-2006 as a Teaching Assistant and also as a Cover Supervisor (teaching both French and Music).
I’m now employed as an HLTA (having studied for my Higher Level Teaching Assistant) and have been since 2006. I teach in almost every year of the school to allow cover the teaching staff’s PPA time and also provide targeted intervention groups.
