Rainforests, Forces

In the autumn term, Year two has been learning about the Rainforest. We made our own profiles of our class animals and collaged pictures of the four layers in the Amazon and the Congo. We found out about the various animals that live on the forest floor, in the understory, in the canopy and in the emergent layer.

In Science we have studied forces. We tested the outdoor toys to find out more about the forces of push and pull. We discovered that these forces can help us stop, start, move faster, slow down and change direction. We also found out more about friction, and how it can slow movement down.

During our Dinosaur literacy week, we made clay dinosaurs and painted them. We wrote about our newly invented dinosaurs.
