Giraffe and
This term in Year 1 we have been on Safari! We have been learning about the habitats of our class animals, Zebras and Giraffes. We have found out about what it is like in Africa, what it is like to be on Safari and about the different animals you would see on Safari. We have created dances based on the story of “Handa’s Surprise”, thinking about the different ways all the animals move and behave.
This week has been a very exciting week in school as some Dinosaur bones have been discovered! We have been helping the archaeologists who found them by doing some writing for their report. Year 1 are writing a story called The Day the Dinosaur Came to School. We have also had a visit from the author Timothy Knapman who read to us from his book, which we loved!
