Beside the
Year One have been very busy this term with our topic on The Seaside.
The highlight of this has been our pirate week. We painted our own fearsome pirates and then used these for some excellent writing when we made our pirate ‘Wanted’ posters.
We learnt some new pirate songs, had great fun pretending to be pirates on board our ship, and even dressed up as pirates for the day!
We have also created a class Pirate Information Book to teach other people some of the things we know about pirates.
In Numeracy, we learnt to use co-ordinates and this helped us to find the way to the pirate treasure!
