Literacy Week 17th -
We had a very exciting start to our Literacy week at Kings Hill with the discovery of some dinosaur bones in the school grounds! After an emergency assembly on Monday morning where Miss Thomas told us about the find, we all went out to watch the archaeologists continuing to dig for more bones. During the week we helped the archaeologists write their report – each year group was assigned a special writing task to make up the report.

Whilst this was going on, we also had a visit from 2 authors – Timothy Knapman worked with Key Stage 1 classes and Alan Durant worked with Key Stage 2 classes. The authors shared their work with us and helped us with our own writing. All the children also took part in a sponsored read event during the week to raise money for our class book corners.
